Part of a private collection but currently located in the Cleveland Museum of Art for a temporary exhibit, “C-Curve” is a sculpture by artist Anish Kapoor. Made of stainless steel, the sculpture is the shape of a giant letter C. Internally concave, the curve is made of two rectangular slabs that are joined together by a thinner panel in the centre of the sculpture. The entire piece weighs 3400 kilograms.

The optical quality of the sculpture is captivating thanks to mirror polishing that allows viewers to lose themselves in an artistic experience of reflections and magic.
Just as with other works by Kapoor, two replicas of “C-Curve” have been made – one in the Louvre in Paris, and another that was first shown in Brighton, then in London’s Kensington Gardens and Milan.
